Gifts in Kind

 

Feed The Children (UK) is different from other charities who only ask for money.  We also accept donations of goods to send overseas.  Our overseas partners regular ask for the following items;

 

 

 

For babies

blankets and shawls

towelling or muslin nappies and pins

petroleum jelly

baby soap and shampoo

baby clothes (NOT all in one garments, eg., babygros)

Knitted items for children

jumpers, cardigans and school jumpers

For mothers

soap, shampoo, flannels, towels

toothbrushes and toothpaste

sanitary towels

toilet rolls

hairbrushes and combs

washing soap

washing powder

Food

(We cannot accept meat or milk products, due to import restrictions operating in many countries.  ALL food items must have shelf life of at least six months.)

canned fish, tomatoes, vegetables, fruit

can openers

dry pasta, rice, fruit, pulses (peas, beans, lentils)

flour, sugar, salt

tea, coffee

biscuits (not chocolate)

Education materials

exercise books and note books

paper - A4 size

pens and pencils

colouring pencils and wax crayons

rulers, erasers, pencil sharpeners

chalk, art materials, school bags

footballs, tennis balls, skipping ropes

Other items

blankets, sheets, sleeping bags

towels, curtains, candles

underwear (new)

washing up bowls, buckets (new)

fabric (large pieces, any kind, including furnishing fabrics, curtains, sheets and duvet covers)
