Many charities would grind to a halt without the dedication of people who freely give their time and expertise, and Feed The Children (UK) is no exception.

There is no such thing as a typical volunteer - our volunteers are young, or young-retired, male or female, with a huge variety of work experience and skills.

Whether between jobs, caring for school-age children, retired, or simply wishing to help others, there is an opportunity at Feed The Children (UK) that fits the time you can give, and the skills you can offer.

There are always vacancies for volunteers at our Twyford and Bristol offices.  Most voluntary activity takes place during office hours, but we are always grateful for help with fund-raising events, many of which take place at weekends.

Our activities include:

  • Office administration: help us with research, putting our paper work in order, writing letters, updating our spreadsheets, printing our mailings or emailing our donors.

  • Getting our mailings in the post: our direct mail is an important part of our fundraising - and wouldn't get done without the army of volunteers who stuff the envelopes.

  • Fundraising events: have you got good organisational skills?  Have you discovered a money spinning idea? Could you run an event for Feed The Children?  We are always in need of people who can run fundraising events, or who can be part of a fundraising team.

  • Box collectors:  do you like meeting people?  Perhaps you could place our collecting boxes in a shop, restaurant or pub near you.  Boxes are exchanged periodically, and are a valuable regular source of income.
